Aviation Engineering
Founded in 2007, Aviation Engineering is an EASA‑approved Part‑21J Design Organisation (since 2009) with strong expertise in initial and continuing airworthiness. The company has extensive experience in aircraft modifications, including minor and major changes and STCs, with a particular focus on special mission aircraft. As part of the Sundt Group, Aviation Engineering contributes to turnkey special mission projects, supporting applications such as flight inspection, airborne surveillance and remote sensing.

The inclusion of Aviation Engineering to the group has extended the capacity to full in-house capabilities of Special Mission Projects to manage turn key special mission projects.

Approved EASA Part-21J Design Organisation (DOA)
Aviation Engineering holds, since 2009, an EASA Part‑21J Design Organisation Approval (ref. EASA.21J.391) and provides comprehensive services for the design, approval and certification of aircraft modifications and repairs, covering both minor changes and supplemental type certification activities for both fixed‑wing and rotorcraft. A key strength is extensive experience in Special Mission System integration—including complex avionics, sensor and mission equipment installations—ensuring seamless integration, certification and compliance. Services also include development of repair solutions, Permit to Fly support with associated approval of Flight Conditions.

Consultancy Services
We specialise in initial and continuing airworthiness, providing expert support across EASA regulatory frameworks, including DOA, POA, CAMO and Part‑145 environments. Our services cover certification support, development and optimisation of procedures and maintenance programmes, airworthiness reviews, audits and compliance management, as well as aircraft import/export supervision—ensuring efficient, fully compliant operations throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
